Double Barrel là dòng rượu đặc biệt, được sản xuất rất hạn chế của Hill Family Estates. Dành riêng cho những nhà sưu tập và những người sành rượu, Dòng Double Barrel năm 2014 được làm từ nho ở vườn Baker trên vùng Atlas Peak và vườn Windy Flats ở vách đá phía Tây vùng Wooden Valley. Sự hoà quyện giữa 2 giống nho Malbec và Petit Verdot làm cho cấu trúc của dòng vang này thêm ngon hơn. Được ủ trong thùng gỗ sồi Pháp giúp cân bằng vị nho của 2 loại trên với Cabernet Sauvignon. Dòng vang Double Barrel nên được để lâu trong hầm rượu và thưởng thức trong thời gian dài. Rượu đầy đặn, đậm sâu, tròn miệng, nồng nàn mùi dâu đen, hạt dẻ nướng, hương vị dâu đen và lựu làm đầy vòm miệng với vị cam thảo và sô cô la đen, chất tannin mạnh, êm mượt, pha trộn với vị chocolate cho hương vị lan tỏa và rất có hậu.
Double Barrel is the smallest blend that we make from our most serious lots of Cabernet Sauvignon. We unapologetically make this wine for collectors and do not expect it to reveal its intense charm and elegance for many years. Our 2014 Double Barrel is made from our Baker Vineyard in the Atlas Peak appellation and the Windy Flats vineyard in the western cliffs of Wooden Valley. Malbec and Petit Verdot broaden the focus and add to the structure. 100% new French oak is necessary to balance and refine bold Cabernet Sauvignon, and even though we know it's there, all of the oak still plays only a supporting role. With no fining or filtration, this wine is ready to age and grow for a long time.

The 2014 vintage is deep, dark and intense, showing aromas of blackberry, mountain chaparral, dark chocolate, and toasted hazelnuts. The palate is broad and powerful with cassis, blackberry, and pomegranate flavors filling the mid-palate. The tannins are still impressive blending with toffee and chocolate on the finish.
